Introduction

This tutorial explains how to add email notifications to your form, as well as how to update the recipients when an email notification is already present.

Adding a Notification - Step 1

Mouse over the "Warehouse" link (located in the menu at the top of any HillTop page). In the drop-down menu, click on  "Forms." This will bring you to a page listing the site's forms.

Adding a Notification - Step 2

Locate the form you would like to update in the list, then click the Edit button (pencil icon) to the right of the title. This will bring you to the form editor. 

In the form editor, click the "Add New Action" link, located in the right sidebar. This will bring you to the "Add Action" form.

Adding a Notification - Step 3

Click the "Form Action" drop-down and select "Notification Email." Ensure "Is Active" is set to "Yes," then click the "Submit" button to proceed to the "Action Information" step.

Under "Action Information," enter the subject line for the notifications in the "Subject" field, then enter the email address(es) that should be notified in the "To Address" field. Separate additional email addresses with a comma. 

Once complete, click the "Submit" button to add email notifications to the form.

Updating a Notification -Step 1

Updating a Notification -Step 2

Locate the form you would like to update in the list, then click the Edit button (pencil icon) to the right of the title. This will bring you to the form editor. Here, locate the "Form Actions" section.

In the "Form Actions" section, you will find an action titled "Notification Email." This form action is responsible for sending the notifications. Click the Edit button (pencil icon) to the left of the Form Action's title.

Updating a Notification -Step 3

After clicking the Edit button, locate the "Action Information" section. Here, you will find the "To Address" field, which contains the email address(es) of the current recipient(s). In this field, you can delete the existing address and enter a new address, or enter additional addresses (separated by commas).

Once you have updated the "To Address" field, click the submit button to complete the process. The new recipient(s) will now receive notifications when the form is submitted by a visitor. Return to Top
